Capital Management Toolkit

A Foundation for AnalytIQ Capital Management

Finding an edge is only the beginning. A decision also requires judgment about uncertainty, risk, and how much to commit.

The Pascal Capital Management Toolkit began as a standalone spreadsheet concept connecting probability, expected value, position sizing, capital preservation, and performance review. That work now serves as a research and design foundation for capital-management capabilities being incorporated into AnalytIQ.

What the Toolkit Established

Probability and Price

An estimated probability becomes decision-relevant when it is compared with the cost and potential payoff of acting.

Allocation and Survival

A real edge may still fail if ordinary variance exhausts the available capital before the advantage can emerge.

Process and Results

Profit and loss matter, but they do not by themselves establish whether the underlying forecasts or allocations were sound.

Core Measures

  • Estimated and market-implied probability
  • Estimated edge and expected value
  • Position size and available capital
  • Drawdown and capital utilization
  • Closing-line performance and forecast calibration
  • Actual results evaluated alongside the original decision record

From Spreadsheet to Platform

The spreadsheet remains a useful concept, but the strategic direction has changed. Rather than releasing capital management as an isolated download, Pascal is developing these capabilities in the context of AnalytIQ, where forecasts, model evidence, opportunities, decisions, and outcomes can share the same record.

Planned capabilities may include expected-value analysis, configurable allocation approaches, decision records, drawdown monitoring, calibration, and structured performance review. Availability will be introduced gradually and evaluated during the beta.

Find the edge. Size the risk. Preserve the capital. Learn from the outcome.
